Jerry Williams, Commercial Director
Jerry spent the first 12 years of his working life serving in the British Army, before joining McKinsey & Company as a management consultant. His diverse background laid the foundation for future roles in both the defence & security and financial sectors, before joining Wirth Research in 2012. Jerry’s specialism lies in working with high-growth SMEs, and he utilises this area of expertise by focusing on growing our non-motorsport portfolio.
Nick Wirth, President and Technical Director
Nick is the president and technical director of Wirth Research. A graduate from University College London, a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers his primary objective within the company is to lead creative output across all projects, as well as taking responsibility for the direction of the company’s many long-term research programmes. As president, he maintains an active relationship with clients and is also chairman of the board of directors.
Simon Crompton, Managing Director
After a successful career as managing director of one of the UK’s largest privately owned motor groups, as well as being a prominent consultant within the motor industry, Simon joined Wirth Research in 2008. He is responsible for the IT, HR, production, inspection, property and legal aspects of the business.
Mark Fieldsend, Finance Director
Mark joined Wirth Research from the corporate finance team at Grant Thornton, where he successfully led a number of transactions across a variety of wide-ranging sectors, including business services, market research and facilities outsourcing. An Imperial College physics graduate, Mark is responsible for all financial aspects of the business, as well as managing the stores and purchasing functions.
Ben Leadsom, Director
Ben Leadsom is non-executive director at Wirth Research. Most recently, Ben has served as chief business manager for over 10 years at a London-based software engineering and financial research business. With more than 30 years’ experience in the finance industry, Ben is delighted to have joined the Wirth Research team, where he leads the development of business systems, and provides a crucial external perspective to the board on strategy and business development across our range of engineering projects.
