Wirth Research awarded Queens Award for International Trade 2008

Wirth Research is an innovative engineering consultancy group, specialising in research, development, design and manufacture for the motor racing industry and other high technology applications. Formed in 2003, the company is delighted to have received a Queen's Award for Enterprise having achieved growth in export sales of 378% in the last three years. This outstanding achievement is the result of a small number of strategic partnerships, of which Honda Performance Development, Inc "HPD" is the main one with Wirth Research working in partnership with HPD on their Indy Car chassis development program culminating in winning both the 2004 and 2005 Indy Racing League drivers and engine manufacturer's championships.

The Honda partnership has now extended into a multi-year agreement in the American Le Mans Series where Wirth Research and HPD jointly design and manufacture the Acura ARX-01b Le Mans Prototype chassis for four teams entered under the Acura brand.

On receiving the Queen's Award, Nick Wirth, Technical Director of Wirth Research, said "This is really a great day for everyone involved in Wirth Research. The sustained effort needed to achieve our success is a testament to the talent and commitment of all of our associates, and reflects the growing confidence that our clients have in our services and products, of which we are immensely proud."

Queens LogoWirth Research is proud to continue in the tradition of the UK being the centre of engineering excellence for global motor sport and actively pursues a policy of offering unparalleled opportunities for the development of young engineers.
