Bicester, UK (17 February 2015) – The prestigious ISO 9001:2008 certification has been awarded to Wirth Research for composite manufacture and assembly of equipment for the defence industry.
Achieving this certification from Alcumus ISOQAR and satisfying the stringent conditions is regarded by Wirth Research as independent validation of its rigorous internal processes and integrity, which are paramount across its client base. The ISO 9001:2008 registration requires scrutiny and approval of the company’s ethical conduct, diligence, consistency in the composite manufacturing process, documentation, quality control and inspection procedures.
Nick Wirth, President of Wirth Research, said: “Our first objective is to meet or exceed the high standards demanded by our customers, whether they are in motorsports, defence or any of the other high technology sectors we operate in. This achievement demonstrates that we have the systems and processes in place to meet the exacting standards expected by the range of business sectors we serve, including the defence industry.”
Nikki Sammé, Marketing and Portfolio Development Director at Alcumus said: “ISO 9001 is fundamentally about implementing best practice and striving for continual business improvement. By gaining certification to this industry-recognised standard, Wirth Research has clearly demonstrated that its clients are at the heart of its business. This achievement is well deserved and Nick and his team should feel extremely proud.”
